✨The core mission of the Senior Software Engineering Lead:
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Leader to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HTB Enterprise Platform initiatives. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring engineering alignment with business goals, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
This role is pivotal in shaping the direction of our engineering efforts in the HTB Business platform while supporting the growth and success of individuals and teams. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that support our customers and drive business impact.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for a team of 10 engineers that is divided in front end and back end. Initiative Planning & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end execution of engineering initiatives, aligning with business priorities and technical vision
- Identify dependencies, remove roadblocks, mitigate risks early, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate with product managers to align initiatives with the product roadmap and customer needs.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Foster a strong team culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Promote the company’s values and ensure teams adopt and represent our engineering mindset and culture.
- Build and maintain a psychologically safe environment that encourages open communication and team ownership.
People Management & Development
- Conduct regular 1:1s, goal setting, and performance reviews with engineers and managers.
- Support career development through growth plans, upskilling opportunities, and mentoring
- Provide hands-on support to unblock individuals and ensure they’re empowered in their roles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional peers to ensure communication, planning, and execution are streamlined.
- Participate in and facilitate agile ceremonies, planning meetings, and postmortems.
- Manage dependencies across teams and departments to keep initiatives on track.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and results to stakeholders and leadership.
- Use metrics and qualitative insights to raise concerns, celebrate wins, and inform strategic decisions.
Engineering Excellence & Quality
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, security, and CI/CD.
- Drive system modernization, maintainability, and compliance with documentation standards.
Resource Management & Hiring
- Make strategic decisions about team allocation based on expertise, capacity, and growth paths.
- Contribute to hiring plans, interview processes, and leveling conversations with talent acquisition.
- Ensure teams are staffed appropriately to meet delivery goals and company growth.

- Previous experience in engineering leadership roles
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams and successfully delivering complex initiatives
- Previous technical background with the ability to contribute to architecture and process decisions

- Experience working in cross-functional environments, driving alignment, and resolving communication gaps
- Deep understanding of modern engineering practices, secure development, testing, and DevOps workflows
