The L2 Network Engineer to maintain private and public cloud infrastructure across multiple data centers in the Middle East. This hands-on role in a multi-tenant environment involves troubleshooting complex network issues, implementing changes, and providing technical expertise in networking and security. The ideal candidate should be customer-oriented with a strong technical background in networking.
Requirements
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer network issues.
- Implement change requests for managed service customers.
- Serve as a point of technical escalation for complex issues.
- Maintain and optimize firewall platforms (FortiGate, ASA, Palo Alto) and VPN solutions (SSL & IPSec VPN).
- Configure and manage load balancers and WAF (Kemp & FortiADC).
- Conduct security policy audits and modifications.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP/ICMP) and stateful/stateless protocols.
- Work with ticketing software (ServiceNow) to track and document issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance network security and performance.
- Obtain and maintain up-to-date certifications for supported technologies.
- Provide input to improve products and services for enhanced customer experience.
- 3+ years working in network support roles.
- Expertise in firewall troubleshooting (FortiGate, ASA, Palo Alto).
- Strong experience with SSL VPN/IPSec deployments.
- Knowledge of load balancers, WAF (Kemp & FortiADC).
- Understanding of public cloud networking (AWS/Azure preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of packet flow and the OSI model.
- Experience supporting multi-tenant environments.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work in a shift-based support environment.
- Experience with technical documentation and knowledge sharing
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (minimum requirement).
- IPT/VoIP qualifications (ideal but not mandatory).
