We are excited to announce an opening for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon who is committed to delivering high-quality surgical care. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from diseases of the chest, heart, and lungs. Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in complex surgical procedures and has a strong dedication to patient welfare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and physical examinations of patients with cardiothoracic conditions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive surgical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve surgery, and thoracic surgeries.
  • Utilize minimally invasive surgical methods when appropriate to enhance recovery times and decrease complications.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care throughout the surgical process.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient recovery post-surgery, addressing any complications proactively.
  • Engage in research initiatives that contribute to improving practice and patient outcomes in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Maintain meticulous medical records and adhere to all compliance standards set forth by the healthcare institution.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited school.
  • Completion of a General Surgery residency and an accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • At least 5 years of practice in a cardiothoracic surgical role.
  • Proficiency in a breadth of cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to cardiothoracic health.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Capacity to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to ongoing education, training, and keeping current with surgical advancements.
  • Valid state medical license to practice.
