We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to handle two crucial areas of our operations: insurance verification and social media management. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare insurance processes as well as a creative eye for engaging content and marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Verifier Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, and authorizations prior to appointments.
- Contact insurance companies via phone or online portals to confirm patient eligibility.
- Accurately input and update insurance details in the EMR system.
- Communicate with patients about their insurance status, coverage limitations, and financial responsibility.
- Coordinate with billing and scheduling departments to ensure accurate claims processing.
- Stay up to date on payer policies and reimbursement guidelines.
Social Media Manager Duties:
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Monitor engagement, respond to messages/comments, and build community relationships.
- Design graphics and promotional materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Track analytics and adjust content strategies based on performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to align posts with company goals and seasonal campaigns.
- Keep up with industry trends and competitor activity on social platforms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in insurance verification (preferably in a healthcare or medical setting).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Practice Fusion, Alora, Kareo, or similar).
- 1+ year experience in social media marketing or management.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in tools like Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar scheduling platforms.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively across two roles.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
