· Server Management:
Manage physical and virtual servers, including installations, configurations, updates, and troubleshooting.
· Server Security:
Implement and maintain server security measures, including access controls, malware protection, intrusion detection systems, and regular security audits to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
· Server Patching:
Plan, schedule, and perform regular server patching and updates to address security vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain system stability.
· Virtualization and VM Management:
Oversee virtual machine (VM) infrastructure, performing tasks such as provisioning, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability across VMs.
· Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor network and server performance, utilizing tools to identify bottlenecks, potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to maintain optimal performance.
· Disaster Recovery & Backup:
Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for networked and virtual environments to minimize downtime and data loss.
· Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, server setups, and VM environments. Ensure all configurations comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
· 3+ years of experience as a Infrastructure Engineer, Server Administrator (Windows/Linux) or similar role.
· Strong background in server and VM management (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
· Proven experience in designing and managing complex network infrastructures.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in network configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
· Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
· Linux and Windows Server operating systems administration experience
· Experience with logging, monitoring, and SIEM tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, DataDoc, etc.).
· Working knowledge of supporting corporate applications such Office365, DLP solutions, Active Directory, etc.
Soft Skills:
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Certifications:
· VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification.
· CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, or similar certifications.
