Internship Role: Android Developer

Function: Software Engineering → Mobile Development (Android)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to understand product requirements.
  
  
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
  
  
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones.
  
  
• Follow best practices in software engineering, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  
  
• Work with platform-specific development and debugging tools.
  
  

Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability in Android applications.

Requirements

• Prior internship experience or projects in Android development (Share links to your apps on Google Play, if available).
  
  
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  
  
• Familiarity with Kotlin or Java.
  
  
• Basic knowledge of Android SDK and open-source Android libraries.
  
  
• Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications with backend services.
  
  
• Understanding of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  
  
• Proficient in Git and version control systems.
  
  
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  
  
• A passion for user-centric product development and engineering excellence.
  
  
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
  
  

Bonus Points If You:

•  Have worked in a fast-paced product-based startup.
• Possess conversational knowledge of any regional Indian language.
• Regularly consume startup-related content (articles, books, podcasts, documentaries, etc.).
