The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern DevOps tools and methodologies. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software delivery process and ensure a reliable and automated production environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to standardize and automate environment provisioning.
  • Drive the adoption of GitOps principles using tools like ArgoCD, ensuring declarative deployments and version-controlled infrastructure changes.
  • Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and availability using Grafana, Prometheus, and other observability tools.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance and reliability across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices for cloud security, networking, and cost optimization.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Continuously evaluate new DevOps tools, technologies, and practices to improve productivity and delivery speed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident management to maintain uptime and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4–10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and proficiency with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.
  • Experience implementing IaC using Terraform to automate and manage infrastructure provisioning.
  • Solid understanding of GitOps workflows and hands-on experience using ArgoCD for continuous deployment.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and troubleshooting system-level issues.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Exposure to microservices architectures and Kubernetes deployments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and DevOps environments.
  • Experience in automating monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems.
