This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Python Tech Lead, Software Engineer in India.

As a Python Tech Lead, you will drive the technical direction and execution of complex software projects, guiding teams from conceptual design to deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring solutions are performant, secure, and aligned with business goals. This role combines hands-on development, architectural oversight, and mentoring responsibilities, providing opportunities to influence product strategy while supporting the growth of your team. You will implement scalable and maintainable Python-based solutions, leveraging modern frameworks, cloud services, and best practices in software engineering. The position offers flexibility and a fully remote work environment, with the chance to work on innovative, revenue-generating digital products for global clients.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the technical direction and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to defined architectures from concept to deployment.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between performance, robustness, security, and business impact to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Oversee code quality, documentation, repository management, branch handling, and pull requests.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to align architecture with business strategy and dependencies.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance implementations.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, contributing to Communities of Practice (CoPs) and supporting organizational technical growth.
  • Verify and validate architecture implementations while influencing overall system design beyond the immediate team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Python Engineer with strong proficiency in Python frameworks.
  • Expertise in FastAPI, SQLModel/SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
  • Experience with multithreaded/multiprocessing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Pytest, and package managers such as Poetry or UV.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch).
  • Cloud experience: AWS (preferred), Azure (G2H).
  • Bonus: knowledge of async programming, GenAI tools (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI, LlamaIndex), and cloud deployment.
  • High-level design proficiency following UML, C4, or ArchiMate; strong understanding of architectural styles, design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies and leading engineering teams.
  • Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with global development teams.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across projects.
