This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Staff Engineer (Cloud Development) in India.

As an Associate Staff Engineer in Cloud Development, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud-native solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, and observability across complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build automated monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization solutions using modern cloud technologies. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines while contributing to high-impact projects. You will also participate in defining best practices for cloud architecture, system reliability, and operational excellence, shaping the foundation for large-scale, production-ready environments. Your work will directly influence system performance and reliability, while offering opportunities for mentorship and technical growth.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), and Helm for scalable infrastructure.
  • Configure, integrate, and manage observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, NewRelic) for monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust monitoring, automated alerting, and operational insights.
  • Enhance system reliability and performance by integrating observability practices into cloud applications.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews, ensuring scalability, security, and best practices are followed.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate designs, technologies, and cloud strategies.
  • Resolve technical issues using root-cause analysis and system-wide troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and guidelines for cloud and observability practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one observability tool (Datadog, Dynatrace, NewRelic).
  • Proficiency in cloud environments and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Knowledge of system architecture, monitoring strategies, and SRE/DevOps principles.
  • Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and operational problem-solving.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
