We are seeking a Data Scientist to support a mission-critical Sponsor office that collaborates across internal and external teams to curate and contextualize enterprise-level information about Sponsor resources and activities. This role will contribute to enterprise metrics and workforce effectiveness initiatives by conducting advanced data analysis, developing impactful visualizations, and communicating complex technical findings in clear, actionable ways. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Tableau development, data preparation, and storytelling with data, while working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform enterprise-level data analysis to address complex business and intelligence questions.
- Develop, refine, and maintain Tableau dashboards, mockups, and prototypes to visualize trends, insights, and metrics.
- Translate complex technical results into clear narratives tailored for diverse audiences, including executives and mission partners.
- Document processes, workflows, and visualization standards for reproducibility and enterprise adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop use cases, and deliver scalable data-driven solutions.
- Leverage data preparation tools (e.g., Tableau Prep) to clean, transform, and integrate datasets from multiple sources.
- Support enterprise collaboration by integrating analysis and visualizations into platforms such as SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
- Contribute to Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and backlog refinement as part of a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or related role
- Hands-on experience with Tableau for developing dashboards, visualizations, and prototypes
- Experience creating visualization mockups and effectively demonstrating products to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with documenting analytic workflows and data processes
- Strong ability to translate technical analysis into clear, concise narratives
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required at the time of application
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Chantilly, VA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Tableau Prep or other data preparation tools
- Familiarity with Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis
- Experience with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Eligibility:

- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required for this role
Benefits
Salary: $190,000/yr. -$210,000/yr.
