This role offers the opportunity to lead the development and optimization of innovative healthcare solutions that enhance clinical decision-making and operational efficiency. You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for key products, with a particular focus on API-driven integrations for payers, providers, and partners. You will be instrumental in translating business and clinical needs into scalable, compliant, and high-performing technology solutions.
Accountabilities
As a Product Manager, you will:
- Define and execute product strategy and roadmaps aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, UX, clinical, marketing) through the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration.
- Conduct market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and identify opportunities to extend capabilities via APIs.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into API specifications, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
- Ensure APIs are designed for scalability, security (HIPAA, HITRUST), and ease of integration.
- Define API packaging, pricing, and licensing models and monitor KPIs for adoption, usage, uptime, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to support go-to-market efforts and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare technology or health information services.
- Proven track record delivering high-impact products in agile environments, including revenue-generating API products.
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, developer portals, authentication (OAuth2), and API management platforms.
- Experience working with finance and strategy teams on investment cases and revenue models.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, Confluence).
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows, EMRs, or clinical content platforms is a plus.
