About the Role (Your Why)
This is an excellent technical opportunity not to be missed! You will be joining a fantastic team in our extensive Technical Backup Management team in either Auckland or Wellington as a Systems Engineer where you will focusing on data protection for a large-scale client. You will work collaboratively with like-minded engineers with hand-picked key skillsets to deliver the team’s core objectives and become fully immersed in our client's technical environment so you can make the best recommendations to assist the team and customers to ensure that they have a robust and fit for purpose solution. This is a hybrid role and will be based at our client's sites in either Silverdale or Hobsonville in Auckland or in the CBD in Wellington and will feature on-call work one week in every four.

What You’ll Bring
We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in Dell PowerProtect Data Manager and Dell DataDomain as these are the only products you will be supporting in this role. These aren’t the most common products so if you don’t have experience of these specific products then you should at least have demonstratable experience in data protection. Technical knowledge across multiple backup software and solutions, in particular Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup and Azure, is desirable though not essential. Other similar platforms such as Backup Exec or EMC Networker would be a nice addition to your repertoire. You will possess excellent communication and relationship building skills, and pride yourself in doing the right thing for the end user. The ability to produce documentation to internal teams as well as the customer to assist in assuring that their data is secured and recoverable is also highly desirable.
