Installation Made Easy (“IME”) provides software and process management that enables retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.

The DevOps Engineer position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Azure, Azure DevOps, and various DevOps tools. This role involves collaborating closely with development and operations teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring system performance and security across the entire platform lifecycle.

An ideal candidate for this role will have strong scripting skills, proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS GCP), and a deep understanding of CI/CD practices.  The candidate must be able to work independently in a remote environment.

Essential Functions:

CI/CD Pipeline Management: 

• Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines leveraging Terraform and Azure DevOps.  
• Integrate code quality checks, unit testing, and other automated processes into pipelines. 
• Implement advanced deployment strategies such as continuous deployment and blue/green deployments. 

Infrastructure Automation: 

• Automate the provisioning and configuration management of cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell. 
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. 
• Manage and monitor cloud resources across development, staging, and production environments. 

Monitoring and Alerting: 

• Implement monitoring solutions using tools such as LogicMonitor and SumoLogic to ensure platform performance. 
• Set up alerts and notifications for critical events and potential issues. 
• Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

·       3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation.

• Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) and scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell). 

• Demonstrated excellence in communication, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely

• Self-directed and motivated

• In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP). 
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps. 
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet. 
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like LogicMonitor and SumoLogic. 
• Proficiency in version control with Git. 
• Understanding of security best practices for cloud environments. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with network concepts and security principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
