As a Platform Engineering Lead at Sumerge, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing our next-generation cloud infrastructure. You will lead a highly skilled team of platform engineers responsible for developing robust solutions that enhance our operational capabilities and drive innovation. Your role will involve overseeing the deployment and management of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Redhat OpenShift, as well as ensuring optimal performance of databases like MongoDB and event streaming technologies like Kafka.

Your leadership will empower your team to automate processes, implement best practices in DevOps, and refine our CI/CD pipelines, drastically enhancing productivity and software quality.

Requirements

• Ensures the platform is scalable and reliable, effectively meeting company needs.
• Monitors operations support processes to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Participates in designing, implementing, and monitoring infrastructure updates to maintain optimal performance and security.
• Develops and coordinates team rosters to ensure resource availability.
• Participates in conducting root cause analysis and effectively communicates findings to stakeholders.
• Identifies, clearly communicates, and plans how to meet department/team goals and define and communicate team members’ roles
• Identifies training and development needs and coaches team members on achieving goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, system administration, or a related field
• Previous team leadership experience is required
