We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Test Engineering to lead our Test Engineering department and drive our testing strategies and execution at Elevate Semiconductor. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire testing process, focusing on efficiency, innovation, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
As the Director of Test Engineering, you will lead a diverse team of engineers while collaborating with cross-functional groups to develop and execute test strategies that optimize product quality and efficiency. Your leadership will play a critical role in enhancing our testing capabilities, driving yield improvement, and maintaining exceptional product performance in line with customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead test engineering processes, infrastructure, and standards.
- Design load boards, probe cards, and test software for ATE testing of VLSI SoC devices with analog and digital content.
- Create test programs for multi-site testing at wafer and package levels.
- Work with vendors on load boards, sockets, and other hardware.
- Drive test development strategies, yield enhancement, and cost reduction.
- Characterize critical device parameters and optimize test times and yields.
- Support test program bring-up and issue resolution at production facilities.
- Mentor team members and implement best practices for test methodologies.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing successful test engineering teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical background in analog and mixed-signal test methodologies.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and test optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
