This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Azure Data Architect in India.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives in a dynamic cloud environment. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and governing scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that drive business insights and AI innovation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data platforms, enabling seamless integration of data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses. You will architect solutions that support AI/ML initiatives, ensure data governance, and deliver actionable insights via enterprise BI tools. The role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to mentor teams and influence strategic data decisions. Remote work flexibility allows contributing from anywhere in India while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

·         Define and implement Azure-based data architecture strategies, covering data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses.

·         Lead Microsoft Fabric adoption, including OneLake, data mesh, governance frameworks, and Power BI integration.

·         Design and manage data pipelines and modernization roadmaps using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, and Purview.

·         Architect AI/ML and MLOps frameworks leveraging Azure Machine Learning and Cognitive Services.

·         Oversee enterprise BI solutions with Power BI to ensure scalable analytics and effective governance.

·         Ensure data security, compliance, and quality standards across all platforms.

·         Lead, mentor, and guide teams in data engineering, analytics, and AI practices.

·         Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with business strategy and emerging technology trends.

Requirements

·         10+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering, with at least 5 years in Azure environments.

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

·         Relevant certifications such as DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer), AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), or AWS Data Analytics Specialty.

·         Expertise in Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Purview, and ML services.

·         Strong skills in data modeling, governance, and multi-cloud architecture.

·         Preferred: Additional certifications (DP-100, DP-300, PL-300), experience with Microsoft Fabric adoption, multi-cloud architecture (Azure + AWS), Power BI governance, Azure AI services, data mesh, DataOps, MLOps, and Generative AI use cases.

·         Soft skills: Strategic thinking, leadership, strong communication, stakeholder management, and passion for continuous learning in emerging Azure technologies.
